Founded in 1985 by a small group of US, Russian and international fliers, the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) is an international nonprofit professional and educational organization of over 400 flown astronauts and cosmonauts from 38 nations.
Flown astronaut/cosmonaut delegates from all over the world will gather in Budapest for the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) XXXIII Planetary Congress
The attending delegates will also dedicate time on November 3, 2021 to Community Day, to meet with students of all ages and members of the public

In accordance with the government's Space Strategy, Hungary will have another research astronaut
by 2025 at the latest.
Since then Mexico City, Riyadh, Berlin, Washington, Beijing, Moscow, Tokyo, Vienna etc. have hosted the annual meeting.
Space instruments developed in Hungary
include the pocket-class satellites of the Budapest University of Technology and the Pille and Tritel radiation measuring instruments that have been used on the International Space Station.
Around half a hundred astronauts
will take part in professional and educational programmes throughout the week. They will visit cities in the countryside to have meetings with students and local actors interested in space science.
